"XXX"

Are you wondering what XXX all about? It’s Xmas Xchange Xtraordinaire, aXiao's creation. Very creative, right?

Today is our department’s Xmas gifts Xchange gathering. Woo huu!
Although this event is not made official, there were many members participated this year round. After all, it’s not expensive, RM20~ only. To me, what matters most is the thought that counts.

This year unlike past years, we agreed to forbid some gift items thus making it Xtraordinaire. Hehe. See quotes from AXiao’s email.

Gifts know how:
From past years’ experience, these are the things that are FORBIDDEN (bold letters ha) to be bought again for this year’s gift exchange:
1) CUPS/MUGS or things alike. Don’t care if they have cute printing on them or not.
2) CHOCOLATES. Reason forgot chor.

One might ask why it cannot be chocos? What’s the rationale? Ok. From past experience, the person who gets the chocos normally shares it with other members. (As the saying goes, sharing is caring). In the end he/she has got nothing left for keep. Sound pathetic right? It’s just not like getting chocos from your partner. Notice the word 'partner' --> sharing between 2 of you only. (Sharing here simply means romantic). Conclusion is, getting chocos from colleagues is not romantic. Hence, chocolate is banned this year. Wah…. =)

By the way, AXiao is the organizer this year. She labeled me the Santarina because I sent her a funny Christmas’s song I got from my sis. Enjoy the lyrics & sing along. Hahaha.

You'd better watch out
You'd better not cry
You'd better keep cash
I'm telling you why:
Recession is coming to town.

It's hitting you once,
It's hitting you twice
It doesn't care if you've been careful and wise
Recession is coming to town

It's worthless if you've got shares
It's worthless if you've got bonds
It's safe when you've got cash in hand
So keep cash for goodness sake, HEY!

You'd better watch out
You'd better not cry
You'd better keep cash
I'm telling you why:
Recession is coming to town!

Finance products are confusing
Finance products are so vague
The banks make you bear the cost of risk
So keep out for goodness sake, OH!

You'd better watch out
You'd better not cry
You'd better keep cash
I'm telling you why:
Recession is coming to town....

HAVE A MERRY CHRISTMAS & A BLESSED NEW YEAR!!

The gift I bought from Sunway: Cute right? =)

This is what I get in Xchange:

So what did u get? xD

Mini Surprise of the day!

Hi peeps! Today when I open my personal mailbox for no particular reason, to my surprise, I saw a mail with heading as below. My first thought was like OMG!! Haha... I did not expect that I've been selected =)

I'm glad to announce that I am the Sa Sa Fragrance award winner. Yes!! Yes!!
Ehem.. Actually, I AM JUST ONE OF THE MANY WINNERS. http://clovetwo.com/contest/sasa/winners.asp
It was in fact just a mini contest that I joined back in mid October just for the fun of it. (Actually it ain't no fun, I had to crack my head to create my best slogan to be as special and creative as can be)

The contest simply requires the contestants to fill up the "I deserve (perfume nominees of your choice)because .. " in 20 words. I've forgotten what I wrote anyway. hehe.

Although I didn't win the perfume bottle, I'm still glad that I get a RM100 voucher!! yey! What a great day to start off with huh, afterall it's a Monday!!

I guess this is my biggest fear so far!

There is something I need to share with you. I’m a girl who is so afraid of insects. I hate insects!!! But wait a minute….come to think of it, what’s haunting me now is a lizard that is making a living in my car ever since I came back from a 2 weeks Biz trip to Japan. It’s a reptile!!

I recently had a lizard (a medium-sized, brown skinned with spots on its body) that ran into my car. As what most men said “they are harmless, just drive!!” Who doesn’t know? But there is this fear that is so overwhelming when the lizard came near me!! While driving on the highway today, the monster came out of nowhere looking right in front of me at the driver’s side. Damn!!! I panicked and shouted like nobody’s business. I almost lost the steering wheel and lose control of my car. I even stopped by the emergency lane twice this morning. I tried to knock at the monster with my steering-lock from the passenger’s seat. But it hid back to somewhere behind the gap :’( I made calls. But in the end, I knew there’s nothing much I could do, I forced myself to drive with the window wide opened. Journey to the office never felt that far. When I reached the office carpark, my neatly tied hair was already messy. What a Monday!!

Now, what worries me is the journey back home later. I can’t live with this condition!!
Someone please help!! Are there any sure fire ways of getting rid of it?

My colleague gave me an idea of putting a burning stuff that produces lots of smokes (usually use in temples and to get rid of mosquitoes/bees). That miracle thing called “Kam man yin”. I called my mum right away to get it from the market. I will burn that thing (of course in a ceramic mug) and put it in my car with windows opened a little tonite. I hope the monster will get out of my car! (*fingers crossed).

Suddenly, I imagine my car in thick smoke; the neighbours must have thought my car is burning!! Let’s hope not. I don’t want to create havoc. I just want that lizard out!!!

A splendid day

It was Sultan of Selangor’s birthday! Nahh.. That is not what I am going to write about .. It was his birthday! haha :) I'm glad that his birthday falls on a public holiday for I work in selangor!

I tried to do something meaningful for him but he just prefer a simple one. So we ended up in The gardens!! Last year we celebrated it there too.

Our first stop was at Crytal Jade Restaurant. We took our Br-unch there! The dim sums was very delicious!! of course the price is not cheap. Guess who pay the bill? Not me. I'm such bad girl..

-He cracked a smile but not looking at the cam-

Next, we went shopping from Gardens to Midvalley and finally watched Bolt. It was hilarious. It really brought much laughters to me. I like the character, rhino! He's such a crazee hammy. hahaha... I seem to enjoy the whole movie more than him (He only prefers action-packed). After that, we went shopping again. There were Christmas's deco everywhere, they looked so nice and striking, it was hard to resist taking photos with it.

*I asked why is he looking like he "kap see"?*

*Photo above was when I told him not to look "Kap see". LOL*

Finally, we had dinner in Din Tai Fung back in The Gardens. He prefered Chinese or Jap food. This time I paid for it. After much persuassion to take photos in there, here's the result:
Before we head back home, I thought a birthday would not be completed without any candles. So we had Haagen Dazs Ice cream (our last stop). I secretly told the waiter to put a candle before serving. When it came.. ta dah!!!! :) Boy, Happy Birthday!!!

13th Dec 2008 marks the birth of myrosequartz.blogspot.com

2.55pm on a working Saturday. Here I am.. sitting here at my workplace and getting started. Well, I never thought I would blog. I only love seeing pictures.
But then, when I browse through other people’s blog, there is a sudden urge to start a blog of myself. Am I serious? Wooh… what kinda blog I want? Am feeling empty-headed again.. Okok. Since picture says a thousand words, why not put more & more pictures of myself and things or activities that are going on around me? Okay..to people out there who loves looking at pictures rather than reading, click me.

Gotta write something about myself.

I am a girl who loves to smile. At least some of my friends did say that I have a lovely smile and it really brightens up their day. Just smile :) :) :) It won’t cost a cent. (I'll put more smiley pictures along the journey)My motto is treating others the way I want to be treated in return. Of course if he/she treated me badly, I would not stay nice to him/her.

Well, deep inside, I am fragile girl but am going stronger each year. I have to agree that I am an emotional one too. I used to be very afraid of stuff and cry a lot. But I am better now. I see things and I know sometimes it is pointless to be upset at some minor thingy.

Well, there are so many things to write about me… let me share bit by bit along the journey of my blog’s world yeah?! .:Me - Signing off!:.
